what does oppo think of real racing 3. Personally I quite like it I feel the driving dynamics are quite realistic with the view from inside the car having a nice shifting mechanic and keeping corners blind giving a nice sense of angle and slope. They have a wide variety of cars and nice upgrade options. I quite like it for a mobile platform but what say you oppo?
Edit the fact that it's quite difficult and easy to spin out makes it much more interesting for me.

A little tedious, but honestly it's the best mobile racing app out there...by a WIDE margin...

it's ok for a phone. I hated the Ai they were ridiculous. Also the tracks and elevation etc are way off. I stopped playing after my first actual Racing game, fourza.

Yeah, I'll make sure to check it out.

I agree it's tedious long campaign and races that are difficult enough as it is but dear lord compared to something like asphalt or something it's miles ahead.

What was wrong with the AI? And I can't speak to the accuracy of the tracks since I don't have much racing experience but the elevation changes are still pretty extreme especially the corkscrew at Laguna seca.

Also is forza that much better actually I didn't notice all that much?

Love it, but the iPad gets heavy after a race. Also feels like the progression is forever seeing he pay cars.

Played for about a month, quit because I'm really not a fan of the whole "tilt your phone/tablet to steer" thing, it would be better if there was some kind of force feedback, or if I could just hook my G25 into my tablet and run with that.

Love it, for a mobile game. I have some friends who aren't into cars, but are playing it, so it's fun to see what each other is doing and compare times, even though none of them can actually beat mine. That said, I would enjoy this game much more if it had actual multiplayer sessions, instead of just TSM, and if the AI was more than just a CPU player trying to match a pre recorded time, which is why it's so "aggressive" and fails to respond to player input or maneuvers. They either fix that, or cut down the number of cars on some tracks. Putting 22 Challengers in a track as narrow as Victoria is a recipe for disaster when no one yields positions or racing lines.

The game looks good, offers a number of different cars, and has driving aids that allow you to play as easy or hard as you like. I don't know about the elevation, but the tracks are good enough for me on an iPad game.
As for AI: The game uses TSM - Time Shifted Multiplayer. The idea is that you're running against AI based on other drivers' ghosts, and not regular AI. This makes it a bit more challenging, in theory.
One thing I found is that the AI are real dicks sometimes. You come out of a corner on a faster line and as you're passing on the outside, the AI just blindly follows its own line, cutting across and rubbing you out in the process. They don't adjust well for cars that are taking a different line. In the real world, they'd get beat up in the pits by the other drivers.
Also, if you get rubbing, expect to lose the battle - you get punished for it and the AI drives off happily. Even when it's "their" fault.

I play. I've done a fair amount of customization because I am a corporate whore. Nothing spectacular, but I'm considering posting it.

please do if at the very least be interested and I think as jalops a cheap free good racing game that's available to the masses is something we should all get behind

oh yes that is true but I do think it's nice that at least it's tsm which means it's competitive at the least.
![]() 04/25/2014 at 21:05 |

Oh god yes when you're running against all those cars it's a pain in the ass but it does force me to be creative with my lines I end up going wide or cutting a corner to get through pretty often and I also think that they might actually have wheel to wheel multiplayer now I swear I saw something like that.

being able to hook up would be great but I think they probably figure that would defeat the purpose of a mobile game that you can play anywhere sadly:(
![]() 04/25/2014 at 22:44 |

Exactly, I'm not big on how the game forces me to blatantly cut corners to overtake, or how you can't do that in walled tracks like Victoria and are forced into people's backs after breaking late to pass...

It's really pretty and has a good selection of cars/tracks for a mobile game. But to progress through the game is either ridiculously tedious or expensive.
